Willow Court is an exclusive, gated development comprising 18 high-quality apartments on the fringe of Kingston town centre. The project involved the skilful redevelopment and extension of an existing building to deliver a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units. The strategy focused on maximising a restricted space by introducing large windows and cantilevered balconies with etched glass screens, creating fresh and spacious modern apartments. The project also included complete site re-landscaping to provide a positive benefit to the surrounding residential community.

The exterior features a graceful composition of soft terracotta cladding combined with red and chalk-coloured brickwork. To reduce the perceived bulk of the building, the top storey is enveloped in grey cladding and set back from the main elevation. Our team managed complex recessed elevations and varied materiality to articulate the appearance and harmonise with the surroundings. Internally, the units feature a modern minimalist design with premium finishes. A key technical focus was the daylighting strategy, ensuring that both the new apartments and existing neighbouring flats maintain excellent levels of natural light through clever architectural orientation.
